Jadaayupureeswar Temples The Temple is dedicated to Jatayupureeswara Who granted moksha (Salvation) to the Eagle Jatayu Which lost its life, while resisting Ravana When he carried Sita, the divine Mother away. Sri Rama himself is believed to have performed here the giant bird's obsequies, as one would do to his own father. It bears the memory of the Kind bird Jadaayu of the Ramayana Epic.
