Arvalem Waterfalls

Arvalem waterfall with an altitude of 70 feet is located at Arvalem, about 2 km from Sanquelim and 8 km from Bicholim, in Valpoi taluka, North Goa. It falls in a straight drop and is in its highest glory during the monsoon season. The Arvalem falls produces a breathtaking spectacle with water tumbling headlong from a height of 50 meter. Even though not on par with the more celebrated Dudhsagar waterfalls, the Arvalem waterfalls are definitely worth a visit.

The waterfall is fully rapturous after the monsoon and its sights make the tourists gleeful in ecstasy. The government has also made a park here from where one can enjoy the scenic beauty. The beautiful Arvalem fall, with a head of about 24 feet high, forms a sizeable lake at the bottom, which offers a sizeable temptation to seasoned swimmers. It is indeed a majestic waterfall shedding its exuberant silvery showers all year long and mesmerizing the crowds since ages.

This is most inviting for a refreshing dip in the cool and fresh water of the falls.The more expert swimmers can try out the deeper waters. These waterfalls, lakes and springs away from the shores of sea, away from the hustle bustle of the beaches and thundering waves give you that perfect retreat, a perfect. The otherwise lean stream of the winters metamorphoses into a powerful gush of water cascading down the mountain slopes.

The Arvalem Waterfalls in Goa while it cascades down settles in a huge lake at the bottom . This is most inviting for a refreshing dip in the cool and fresh water of the falls. This secluded region with the astounding vista of the leaping waters in the laps of nature is an ideal destination for private picnics and bird watching. The Rudreshwar temple located in the vicinity of the falls is a holy shrine for Hindus.
