The sprawling: 602 ha

Location: Vandalur which is 32 Km away  from the Chennai City on  the GST Road.

Anna Zoological Park is the biggest in South Asia. It contains a superb collection of tropical mammals, birds and reptiles amongst others. About 138 plant species are found in the area.

It was so planned in early stages that the natural vegetation of the area was to be kept intact except where the enclosures, roads and structures had to be constructed.

Rates:

  • Children below 5 years: Free

  • Children (above 5 years and below 12 years): Rs 10.00

  • Adult: Rs 15.00

  • School Children ( Age 5 – 12 years ) Government School and Aided schools: Rs 2.00

  • School Children ( Age 5 – 12 years ) Private Schools: Rs 10.00

Timings:

The zoo is closed on Tuesday. 

The zoo is open through out the year.

Week days 11 am to 7 pm.
